Polaris: College Guidance Program
Polaris, the College Guidance Program (CGP) of Star Colleges, is a comprehensive set of student services and related programs that are applied for post-secondary students at Star Colleges. For basic and secondary education, Polaris (CGP) is also known as the School Guidance Program (SGP). The Star Colleges Guidance Program provides human development programs and services that are designed for students and other stakeholders to have support and foundation in developing a holistic educational background. The student services of Star Colleges are standardized into five premises of guidance counseling that ensures proper execution of processes for student or stakeholder concerns.
First Premise
Student Services are provided through the guidance program that is the foundation and main executor of human development programs for stakeholders.


The characteristics of student services by Star Colleges bear resemblance to other educational programs and encompass student standards; activities and processes aimed at helping students meet these standards; certified professionals; materials and resources; program details; personnel; and evaluation of results.
Second Premise
Student Services programs are developmental and comprehensive.


The student services of Star Colleges are developmental in that guidance and counseling activities on a regular, planned, and systematic basis to assist students in their academic, career, and personal-social development.
Third Premise
Student services feature a team approach.


The student services of Star Colleges are a comprehensive, developmental set of programs that are based on the assumption that all school or college staff or stakeholders are involved.
Fourth Premise
The student services programs are developed through a systematic process of planning, designing, implementing, evaluating, and enhancing.


The systematic process applied by Star Colleges for student services ensures intentional delivery of a program designed to address established priorities.
Fifth Premise
Student services programs have established leadership.


The student services of Star Colleges have established leadership in order to ensure accountability for the human development programs and for the quality of the performance by designated faculty or staff.
