Star Colleges Timeline

From 1989 to Present, we continue to shine for our community.

1989

Twinkle Star School, a pioneer private educational institution of La Trinidad, was officially dedicated and open for enrolment in April of 1989 by the School President Ambrosio B. Alawas and School Principal Dr. Annabelle Marie D. Alawas. As founders, they envisioned the school as a ministry that delivers quality Christian education, sharing the Word of God and developing students to be dedicated leaders of the community.

1991

The Twinkle Star School started with a small nursery in a rented apartment with only a handful of students. Eventually, Kindergarten levels were offered in order to provide further education for promoted nursery students. The humble beginnings of the school reflects the star that led three wise men to Jesus Christ, representing the first batch of students and their potential to be inspiring beacons towards a brighter tomorrow.

1993

By God’s grace, the growing ministry enabled the attainment of property and a school building with four floors. Nursery to Grade 6 students are now being taught in the first building that was made at 156 Pico Road, La Trinidad. The area was mostly surrounded by gardens and the fast-growing vegetable industry. Other schools are also emerging during this time.

2001

TSS Secondary Education was recognized on January 31, 2001. Another building was being made to accommodate the growing number of high school students. And then, after a decade, the school was renamed as Star Educational Christian Foundation to emphasize the school's objective of providing non-profit Christian ministry in secular education.

2010

The SECF community did not cease in attaining various local recognition and accolades. SC alumni have been exceling well in their careers, contributing to the community as responsible citizens through Christian values, inspired to reach personal achievement and achieve goals that contribute to society. The vacant building beside the school's property was purchased in order to facilitate more high school students in the future.

The progress of innovation for the school continues with the need for accreditation from external organizations. For more than 10 years, Star Colleges continues to be an ESC participating school under the Department of Education and through the evaluation of the Private Education Assistance Committee. Therefore, on December 16, 2013, the school’s name was changed to STAR COLLEGES, INC. with Government Recognition No. SHS-P-0053, 2015. On that same year, Star Colleges applied and procured a permit from the Department of education to offer all tracks of the Senior High School Program. In doing so, the SC community show dedication towards improving education of Filipino high school students.

Following the progress of Philippine education, Star Colleges continues innovative pursuits by implementing of Senior High School grade levels for all tracks. Other than offering Grade 11 and 12 for high school students, a building was being done in the purchased lot that is adjacent to the school's open basketball court. The new building would temporarily accommodate senior high school students, but eventually the building was being created in order to eventually offer college courses in the future.

2017

The first batch of Senior High School students successfully completed their secondary education. During this time, more infrastructure is being developed in a purchased lot at Shilan, La Trinidad. The building and other facilities at the recently purchased lot would soon be known as the extended campus of Star Colleges and the training center for students and guests.

2020
